1st Aeolian Islands Tour

Day 1, (Palermo-Cefalù 30 nm) iembarkation at 12 noon, small breafing on the boat to explain the boat and safety measures on board. Once the legal formalities are over and the galley provisions have been embarked, one can either leave immediately with destination Cefalù where one would arrive after 5 hours of sailing or stay in port at Palermo’s Cala just a few meters from the city’s historic center full of typical places and monuments to see. In this case the departure will be postponed at dawn on Sunday with direction or always Cefalù. Upon reaching Cefalù, one can settle either at the mooring in the port of Presidiana or at anchor in front of the magnificent coves of Cefalù. Upon reaching Cefalù, one can settle either at the mooring in the port of Presidiana or at anchor in front of the magnificent coves of Cefalù. In the harbor it is also possible to soak your legs in the ice-cold spring water that comes directly from the Nebrodi Mountains.

Day 2, (Cefalù-Vulcano 45 nm). Departure from Cefalu for Vulcano, about 35 miles away. Having arrived in the vicinity of the island, one is spoiled for choice in which cove to drop anchor to bathe (Cala Formaggio, Cala di Mastro Minico, Punta di Capo Secco, or Porto di Ponente) From the latter, as an alternative to the Port of Vulcano, it is possible to reach the town and for those who wish to hike to the top of the volcano or dive in the sulfur pools typical of the island. It would seem that the natural mud produced by the volcano has beneficial properties for the skin

Day 3 (Vulcano-Lipari 3 nm). Only a few minutes by boat takes you to Lipari where you can make two stops for swimming. One at the Faraglioni on the east side of the island, and a stop at Pumice on the west side. Both places feature crystal clear water excellent for snorkeling. Stopping overnight at one of the many moorings set up with floating docks adjacent to the town of Lipari is recommended. There are numerous places on the island where you can drink and eat anything always of excellent quality.

Day 4 (Lipari-Panarea-Stromboli 20 nm). In the morning after having breakfast of brioche granita and croissant and embarking on good fresh local fish for lunch, we set off for Panarea just 10 nm from Lipari. Once there, one can make a short stop at Cala Junco and then continue sailing to Lisca Bianca or Basiluzzo where one can stay anchored for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the place. At Lisca it has also been possible for several years to admire the sulfur blowholes emerging from the seabed at a depth of about 5 meters. In the afternoon/evening, for those who enjoy nightlife, it is possible to go ashore on the island of Panarea and enjoy the sunset at one of the typical local clubs. Otherwise one can arrange to set course for Stromboli about 10 nm away from Panarea where one can admire the extraordinary spectacle of the perpetually active volcano. For the night you can set up at the buoys in front of the village of Stromboli or make your way back to Salina at night (recommended option only if assisted by the skipper on board)

Day 5 (Stromboli-Salina 20 nm) After spending the night in Salina, during the day after breakfast it is possible to go ashore where you can stock up on fresh supplies for lunch and then set sail for Pollara, where you can stop for a swim until lunch and then head for Filicudi

Day 6 (Salina-Filicudi 20nm-Palermo 60nm tot 80 nm)

in Filicudi you can take a swim near the CANNA, have lunch and then visit the Sea Ox Cave, and decide where to spend the night. Either at the pier in Pecorini a Mare, or at anchor in the bay called Le Punte located between Pecorini and pPunta Graziano. Otherwise, you can also spend the night at the floating dock at the Port of Filicudi. If you do not want to dine on board the boat, both Pecorini and the port of Filicudi, offer the possibility of being able to dine ashore.
